After Addie moved in we decided that we were going to get her spayed. We are not the puppy delivering people and we decided that we didn't want to be. So two weeks after we got her I took her to a friend of mine who is a vet to spay her. The vet promptly told me that my dog is pregnant and that she was to far along to do anything about it. (Don't think less of me because I thought about aborting my dogs puppies, there are so many puppies that need a home already out there, but God made the decision that these puppies were to be born!!) So we are told that come the first of the year we would have puppies. On Sunday December 14 we were blessed with EIGHT puppies. Four boys and four girls. The birth went well and both mom and babies are fine. The puppies are adorable and I have to admit that I am deeply in love with a few of them and I am sad that we are going to give them up. I know that they are all going to go to good homes though.
I have to admit when I prayed that God would bless us with a baby, I didn't expect eight and I certainly didn't expect them to be canine. I know that God has a plan, but it is really hard when we have been trying so hard to get pregnant and nothing is happening. It is a let down every month when I go to get bloodwork done. I am due to get bloodwork done on friday to see if my hormone medication has helped at all. If not the next option is an exploratory surgery to see what problems I could have. It is very frustrating and it is also really hard. I don't know how people make it to the injections and all of the things that follow from there. I know that I just need to stay strong in my faith and trust in God's plan. Which is so much easier said than done!!
Well, I had better get to bed (and put the puppy that is sleeping on me back with mom!!!) I hope that you all have a wonderful week!!
