My Dog

On Wed. Sept. 12, 2007 I put my 16 1/2 year old terrier Nikki to sleep. It was one of the hardest things that I have ever had to do. I am blessed that I had four other people in the room with me at the time of her passing away and that she passed peacefully.

It was a very had decision for us to make about putting her to sleep. She has had heart problems for years and she also had a collapsing trachea and a mass on her spleen. (She just had one or two problems) Recently she had lost her vision, was no longer eating and was falling a lot. She was also in a lot of pain which was the deciding factor in our decision.

I have had Nikki since the fourth grade. She was an early christmas present from my parents, they had got her at the pound for us. She was just a little floppy eared puppy who became my best friend. We were inseperable from then up until I met Mike. She was the best dog someone could ask for. She had a funny little stuffed eagle that was mine at one point that she always would carry around with her. She was a wonderful dog and she will be greatly, greatly missed.

A New Blog Start

For those of you that have followed my blog you may notice that all past posts have been deleted. I accidentally added my blogger address to the bottom of an e-mail that I sent out. There were some things that I wrote out of anger and frustration that people should not have seen. I am not sorry that those were my feelings at the time but that might not be how I feel now or anymore and I don't need drama so they have been deleted. For those of you that stumbled upon my blog by the accident of an e-mail signature...sorry....
