It was a very had decision for us to make about putting her to sleep. She has had heart problems for years and she also had a collapsing trachea and a mass on her spleen. (She just had one or two problems) Recently she had lost her vision, was no longer eating and was falling a lot. She was also in a lot of pain which was the deciding factor in our decision.
I have had Nikki since the fourth grade. She was an early christmas present from my parents, they had got her at the pound for us. She was just a little floppy eared puppy who became my best friend. We were inseperable from then up until I met Mike. She was the best dog someone could ask for. She had a funny little stuffed eagle that was mine at one point that she always would carry around with her. She was a wonderful dog and she will be greatly, greatly missed.
